Coverage includes film & television theory, preservation & restoration, screenwriting, production, cinematography, technical aspects, and reviews. The database provides cover-to-cover indexing and abstracts for more than 380 publications (and selected coverage of 300), as well as full text for more than 120 journals and 100 books. In addition, Film & Television Literature Index with Full Text includes Variety movie reviews from 1914 to present and over 36,300 images from the MPTV Image Archive.

The Film Literature Index annually indexes 150 film and television periodicals from 30 countries, and 200 other periodicals selectively, for articles related to film and television. The periodicals range from the scholarly to the popular. More than 2,000 subject headings provide detailed analysis of each article. This version of the database covers the years 1976-2001. FLI provides citations only (no full text), but it is a very valuable resource for film research.

Ethnic NewsWatch is an interdisciplinary, bilingual (English and Spanish) and comprehensive full text database of the newspapers, magazines and journals of the ethnic, minority and native press. Designed to provide the "other side of the story," ENW titles offer additional viewpoints from those proffered by the mainstream press. Ethnic NewsWatch provides thousands of scholarly, full-text articles for area and ethnic studies, such as Jewish studies, African American studies, and Hispanic American studies. This database also has the largest full-text archive of Native American publications.

J-STOR offers full-text articles in many topics related to this field. Because of JSTOR's archival mission, there is a gap, typically from 1 to 5 years, between the most recently published journal issue and the content available in J-STOR.

The Modern Language Association (MLA) International Bibliography provides access to journal articles, books, and dissertations from 1926 to the present in academic disciplines such as language, literature, folklore, linguistics, literary theory and criticism, and the dramatic arts. Many of the citations have abstracts, and the database provides links to full-text when available. Users can search by title, subject, author, as well as journal title, and can link to similiar results using related subject lists.
